About Ben Bishop
Ben Bishop wanted to make comic books since he was 4 years old. When he was 11, Bishop wrote to Marvel and asked for a job. Bishop later moved to Portland, Maine, and attended the Maine College of Art for one year. He stopped after loans didn’t go through and worked at coffee shops and lobster shacks for four years while writing and drawing his first graphic novel. In 2008, he released “Nathan the Caveman.” In 2011, he illustrated the award-winning “Lost Trail, Nine Days Alone in the Wilderness.” He began working for companies like Archaia, IDW, Darby Pop, Action Lab, Nickelodeon and Hasbro. In 2015, Bishop put together a Kickstarter campaign for his next creator-owned project, “The Aggregate” a ‘split decision’ format where the reader makes decisions for the characters and ultimately dictates the direction of the narrative. He raised $30,000 instead of the $10,000 goal.
